Bohren & der Club of Gore Are Back
Planning a summer beach party? Looking to keep bodies on the dance floor? If so, you ought to look elsewhere. Bohren & der Club of Gore are back with a new mini CD, "Beileid". The third time we have released one of the German band's dark and beautiful releases. Always an office favorite for us. This one includes a cover of the song "Catch My Heart" originally by metal legends Warlock, that features our own Mike Patton on vocals. "Beileid" is a must for fans of doom/ambient/dark/jazz music. Please use sunscreen.

The latest release from the Book of Knots, "Garden of Fainting Stars" is here!
For those of you that are not in the know, this is a collection of some of the most talented musicians you will find anywhere. A supergroup that would make Asia blush! Matthias Bossi (Skeleton Key, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum), Joel Hamilton (producer/engineer), Carla Kihlstedt (Tin Hat Trio, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum) and Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, Frank Black) have created another recording of orchestrated, warped bombast. "Garden..." is the final chapter of the bands "By Sea, By Land, By Air" trilogy. Follow the story in this beautifully cinematic climax. The Book of Knots once again cast a wormless, rusty hook into the lifeless seas of the music industry, expecting to reap only sorrow. We are honored to be passengers for the voyage.
There is always room for more Melvins!
Out now is the latest recorded offering from the self proclaimed greatest band in music history. "Sugar Daddy Live" is a brilliant sounding career spanning retrospective recorded live at the legendary Busta Guts Club. This CD includes new, cutting edge technology that allows you to transfer the music from the CD to your digital storage device. As always, the Melvins are leaders, not followers. It's never too late to join the party.
FES USA TOUR
“Malos Habitos” Score by Daniele Luppi
The best part of having a record label is being able to work with friends. Especially friends that are extremely talented. We are happy to announce the release of the motion picture soundtrack to the Mexican film Malos Habitos by our friend Daniele Luppi. This music is lush, beautiful and haunting at the same time. Luppi is well known for his traditional film composition work as well as his collaborations with contemporary artists.
In 2004 Daniele released his debut recording, An Italian Story an homage to the cinematic sounds he discovered in his youth in Italy. Since then he has compiled an impressive resume of film work (Hell Ride, Under the Tuscan Sun, Inside Deep Throat) as well as arranging for or collaborating with musicians like Gnarls Barkley, John Legend and our own Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane. He also currently has another release that is getting critical acclaim called Rome. Rome is his collaboration with Danger Mouse that features vocals from Norah Jones and Jack White.
This is just the tip of what will certainly be a long and successful musical career for Daniele Luppi. Discover him now with Malos Habitos!
Dale Crover on Howard Stern
Not sure how many of you listen to the Howard Stern radio show, but on Monday, May 9th, Dale Crover (Melvins) will be appearing on the show.
The backstory is that last week, Dave Grohl was doing the show and mentioned that he was not the first drummer in Nirvana. He went on to tell Stern that one of the previous drummers, quit to be in the Melvins. Stern said he had to meet the person that quit Nirvana and invited Dale to appear.
Stern is about to get his first taste of the greatest rock band of all time! Dale will also be promoting the new live Melvins record, Sugar Daddy Live that comes out May 31st.
