Napalm Death and the Melvins join forces for the Savage Imperial Death March Tour, a six-week Spring trek that that kicks off on March 26 at The Marquee in Phoenix, Ariz.

“We have been talking about doing a tour like this for a long time so we are thrilled it’s finally happening,” says Napalm Death bass player Shane Embury. “Having been long time fans and friends of the Melvins we are very happy to be embarking on this six-week tour of musical madness with them and Melt Banana. Expect the unexpected!”

Melvins’ singer/guitar player Buzz Osborne added: “Napalm Death sounds like a gorilla on LSD firing a machine gun… and I mean that in a good way. We’re happy to be heading out with the ultimate grindcore pioneers.”

Nevermen is neither side-project nor super group; it's merely meant to be — a years-in-the-making partnership in which these men shared all duties, discovering their collective sound with the sort of glee and freedom usually reserved for first-timers. Amid this wild, weird churn of rock, pop, rap, soul, and other, it's shockingly easy to lose track of who's singing at what moment, and that's the point: to quote Tunde/Adam/Mike in song, "The frontman digests its self." Nevermen, the album, finds these three giants shredding their egos to get at the heart of why they do what they do, to explore the hopes and fears and wins and losses of anyone who carves career out of what started as dream.

Le Butcherettes Premiere Video for “La Uva” Featuring Iggy Pop + Expand Euro Tour

Le Butcherettes release the video for “La Uva” (https://youtu.be/gFIytkJFyIQ), featuring Teri Gender Bender and Iggy Pop performing the song from the outfit’s recently released album, A Raw Youth.

“La Uva” marks the first time Iggy Pop has recorded a song in Spanish with a band. The video was recorded at Iggy Pop's house in Miami, Fla. under the direction of producer and director, Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.

Le Butcherettes and Iggy Pop met during a tour where the Mexican outfit was invited to open for the legendary frontman, leading to an ongoing friendship and a promise to one day record together. The decision to record the duet in Spanish was a natural one with Iggy Pop having lived in Mexico for several years and fluent in the language.

Le Butcherettes “A Raw Youth” Out Now

The album, the band’s third release, focuses on “the recurring conflict between minorities (the raw youths) and society: The oppressor and the oppressed” as Le Butcherettes’ mastermind and front woman Teri Gender Bender explains. A pair of singles: “Shave The Pride” (https://youtu.be/0KWDHLjkzdk) and “They Fuck You Over” (https://soundcloud.com/ipecacrecordings/they-fuck-you-over) were shared in advance of release. In what seems to be a theme with Le Butcherettes’ releases, two guest stars also join the fray: Iggy Pop on “La Uva” and John Frusciante on “My Half.” A Raw Youth was recorded at RLP Studios (The Morgue Portable Disaster Unit) in El Paso with producer Omar Rodriguez Lopez.

Le Butcherettes is Teri Gender Bender (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Chris Common (drums) and Jamie Aaron Aux (bass). Buy the new album now at the Ipecac Webstore http://bit.ly/1JmtaCP or iTunes: http://hyperurl.co/cfvgxi.

Le Butcherettes Premiere new Song “Shave the Pride” via NPR; Reveal A Raw Youth Album Cover

Le Butcherettes, who are in the midst of the Chaos As Usualtour with the Melvins, have debuted “Shave The Pride” via NPR (http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/2015/07/14/421138241/song-premiere-le-butcherettes-shave-the-pride). The song comes from the Mexican trio’s forthcoming album, A Raw Youth (Sept. 18, Ipecac Recordings). The track, which Teri Gender Bender said was originally titled Pogonophobia, the fear of beards, is a commentary on societal apathy. “The outrage and frustration are this time directed in particular to society’s ‘beard’, explains Gender Bender. “The beard symbolizes our unwillingness to view all perceptions of the story, empathy, angles, life… hiding behind the mass… mass media, laziness, etc.”
