THE KIDS OF WIDNEY HIGH have their own comic book!!!!!!

The Kids generated story ideas and dialogue and teamed their stories up with a handful of amazing and innovative comic book artists.

Diamond Comics, the ONLY major distributor of U.S. comics, agreed to pick it up for distribution. Not only that, they've made it one of 7 staff picks in this month's catalog! This is pretty awesome considering that there are over 1,000 new books offered in the book.

Check it out here:
http://www.previewsworld.com/public/default.asp?t=1&m=1&c=6&s=221&ai=87813&ssd=

However, if they don't reach an order plateau of 1,280 copies, Diamond retains the right to not distribute the book.

The comic book was financed by the teachers/bandmembers involved with the band and all of the proceeds raised through the sales will go back to them and the band. We need everyone to order this book or ask your local comic shop for it.

To find a comic shop near you, check out the Comic Shop Locator here:

http://www.comicshoplocator.com/

Once you've found your comic shop, the book is located on page 187 of the November 2009 issue of Previews. The order code is NOV090619. This code is important because, as I said, there are many many titles offered monthly in the catalog.

What’s a “Chicken Switch”?

How can the US reform it’s health care system?

Does David Hasselhof have a drinking problem?

What’s with the weather?

Is there anything better on TV than “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”?

When is a new Melvins record not a new Melvins record?

Well, we can’t figure out the Kardashians for you, but we can tell you this, there is a “new” Melvins record out, and it’s called “Chicken Switch”. It includes some of the Melvins coolest songs from the past, but the twist is, these songs have been remixed by some of the leading purveyors of underground, noise music. You got your Speedranch, Matmos, Eye from the Boredoms, Lee Ronaldo, Merzbow and more reinterpreting songs you’ve cherished since childhood. Hard to call most of these remixes as they stand on their own as new tunes. This project was spearheaded by you the Melvins fans at the Melvins website with the Melvins stamp of approval. So it’s gotta be good, right?

This will keep you satisfied until the new Melvins studio record is unleashed in mid 2010.

So, what’s a “Chicken Switch”?
