FantômasMelvins Big Band DVD

Hey, all you DVD craving peeps. Here is a cool one for you. We had a very special live performance of the FantômasMelvins Big Band taped a couple years ago in England and it came out GREAT. The band ripped that night and friends of ours fancied up the footage and alas a Big Band DVD is out everywhere now. We hope to do more of these as well. Who knows when or if this group of musicians will play together again, it is a great souvenir of 2 bands joining forces to play each others songs. As a bonus, we even did a top secret commentary track, where limoncello aficionado, Danny DeVito and friends like Dale & Buzz from the Melvins break down the concert to give you behind the scenes insight into the show. (well, that is what they were supposed to do, but they get a little side tracked)

Zach Hill's Debut Solo Album

There are musicians and then there are MUSICIANS. We like to brag that we work with some great ones, some well known, some undiscovered. Well, we are proud to announce the debut solo release of one the most talented musicians out there. Zach Hill presents, "Astrological Straits", a 2 CD set of pure musical orgasm.

Most know Zach from his days as a founding member of the late, great Hella. Others know him from his varied collaborations with Team Sleep, Goon Moon, Sun Ra, Nels Cline, Mike Patton, Joanna Newsom etc etc.. He has played with many and this release serves as is a culmination of all that has come before.

"Astrological Straits" is packed with guest stars like Les Claypool, Chino Moreno and others, but it is Zach's twisted vision and playing and songwriting that drive this release. The second CD is a stroll into exptressionistic jazz territory. Quite a trip when it is all digested.

Sacramento's avant garde flag waver, Zach Hill, fires the first shot of what is sure to be an interesting and successful solo career!
