News Update

We're very happy to announce the release of Dub Trio's Ipecac debut "Another Sound Is Dying" on Jan 29th. These guys have been family for awhile. You may have already seen them while they pulled double duty as the backing and opening band with Peeping Tom or on tour with Gogol Bordello, Clutch, Helmet, Bad Brains or Matisyahu among others. Don't miss their upcoming cd release parties in Brooklyn on Jan 31st and Chicago on Feb 27th and as they head out on a worldwide tour in the upcoming months.

They are currently featured on the cover of Alarm magazine who garnered praise that "It will certainly be one of the best albums of 2008...it is the kind of record that makes you reevaluate your entire record collection."

Their music has recently been heard on HBO Sports Hard Knocks and HBO's Winter Promotional ads and will soon be appearing on Fearless TV and MTV's Rob and Big. A recent live performance recorded in Brooklyn at the Luna Lounge is also available as a free videostream on www.woozyfly.com/dubtrio

Check out the band on the road, listen to their new songs on their myspace, support your local indie stores by buying their album, pick up Alarm magazine, watch them on woozyfly.com and prepare yourselves for their magnus opus - Another Sound Is Dying.

News Update

We are all about fun and games here at Ipecac. In that tradition, it is with great pride that we announce the 2008 line of collectible Ipecac toys! That is right, check em out:

Ipecac Toys

Starting in January of 2008, each month will release a limited edition (500 of each) figure inspired by one of our many inspirational artists! These will be available in cool toy stores and comic book stores and we will have a handful for sale on our website at some point as well. Some of the bands will be hawking these on the road, but they are sure to go fast.

The story is that we are fans of this very cool toy company based in Portland called UNKL. Wellllllllll it turns out they are fans of Ipecac and had the idea. We are pleased to no end with the outcome. Hopefully you can add some Ipecac to your desk next year.

News Update

Hooray for Hollywood!
Take note if you are a movie fan. There is a little film coming out in December called "I Am Legend" that features our very own Mike Patton. It also stars some actor named Will Smith. The tricky part is, you won't see Mike, but you'll hear him. He is the voice of the creatures in the movie. That is right, the evil screams and howls coming from the "creatures" will be courtesy of Mike. Seems he is getting a lot of requests to do evil/monster/zombie noises and sounds. Remember he is the Darkness in the game of the same name and even shows up in the game Portal as well!!!

2 thumbs up! Wonder if there is an academy award category for creature voices???
